Has anyone ever encountered this problem with WF Classic 5.53q? No matter how many times I enter one particular term into the glossary, it never gets highlighted in the source segment, i.e. I cannot leverage the glossary with this one particular term. This has been going on for a couple of days now. I am not using the demo version, I have a license.

I have tried the following: - Entering the term again. Then I get the notification: "already in glossary. Add entry anyway?" So it does acknowledge the existence of the entry. But after reorganising the glossary (with the double entry in it), the term is still not highlighted in the source segment. - Deleting the entry (I mean properly deleting it with CTRL+DEL) and then re-entering it. Doesn't work. I can look up the entry in the glossary, but it just can't be used.
Is this some kind of bug or have I missed something? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

It's a bug that has been around for years

Hi Michiel,
It doesn't happen often but I have encountered the same problem. Sometimes the only workaround is to add the term to glossary 2 and/or 3 too.
Cheers, Gerard

I added the term a third time and now the problem looks to be solved. Strange how those things work... Thanks for your suggestion, Gerard!
Cheers, Michiel

Glossary bugs
May 17, 2013
I rarely use the WF glossary function because of bugs like this, which have made me waste a lot of time trying to fix them.
For example, this morning I I'm translating a text and several of the terms are coming up highlighted as in the glossary. However, I can't seem to get them to insert into the target segment - perhaps I've forgotten the right combination of keys to do so - but I've already spent five or 10 min looking for help on this online to no avail. I'm using WF classic and if anyone can suggest a solution or - simply jog my memory - I would be grateful.
PS - to anyone from WF who may be looking at this, I find the short videos too time-consuming when what I want to find out something trivial quickly , like my query above. Could we please have the basic instructions in text format somewhere easier to find without trawling the net and posting in forums? ▲ Collapse
