I have translated a tagged file and cleaned it. My customers asks me to remove all tags. He says that Trados has a function to do so. How can I do it with WFB 580y? Thanks and regards, AT

What is the format of those tags?

Is it:
[TAG HERE] "TAG HERE" **TAG_HERE
Because all you may need is a global replacement in Word.

Mmm... It looks like a .TTX file
Mar 5, 2010
The file appears to be an HTML export processed with Tag Editor. Such files need to be converted before being translated with Wordfast. See, for instance, http://www.accurussian.net/tagger.htm .
Assuming it is a .TTX file, translating it is not as simple as this:
YOUR ORIGINAL: The Control will not operate WF-SEGMENTED: {0>The Control will not operate<0}0{>E... See more

YOUR ORIGINAL: The Control will not operate WF-SEGMENTED: {0>The Control will not operate<0}0{>El control no funcionará<0}
Rather, the expected format for that type of file is this mess:
<Tu> <Tuv Lang="EN-US"> The Control will not operate </Tuv> <Tuv Lang="ES-XL"> El control no funcionará </Tuv> </Tu>
At any rate, perhaps I'm not quite getting what you're doing. Try this global replacement:
1) Find this: \<*\> 2) Replace with: Change to another color (to verify) 3) Enable wildcards and Replace All
Check that the segments don't want are properly colored. If so, then repeat but this time, delete.
