I never sent an invoice to the wrong client, but twice clients sent me the wrong jobs. One sent me a DVD to translate for dubbing, but that was not the final version. They had me edit the dubbing script based on the final cut afterwards. Another one arranged with me by phone three urgent sworn translation from English. They sent the originals by a messenger on a motorcycle from some 50 km away. When I got them, the first original was in English (the only foreign language I'm certified); the other two were in French. I found a colleague certified in French on the other side of town. Did my translation, drove all the way there so she'd do the two others, and they'd have everything picked up there. The investment was well worth the trouble, that was the first job of a very long sequence (from English) I did for them, and they were quick, reliable payers. ▲ Collapse | | | Uldis Liepkalns Latvia Local time: 11:25 Member (2003) English to Latvian + ...

but i can see how it could happen...i HAVE sent clients invoices that were wrongly numbered or were missing information (project ID, etc). or sent the wrong version of a translation- mortifying!!! | | | Gina W United States Local time: 04:25 Member (2003) French to English Fortunately, no | Aug 3, 2009 |
I end up double checking several times before submitting each invoice, so that is probably why I have not sent one to the wrong client. Once I submitted an invoice with one bit of incorrect information, but the client either did not notice or did not want to make a point of it. I haven't done that since. | | | Pages in topic: < [1 2] | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Poll: Have you ever sent an invoice to the wrong client?
