Really enjoying these, congrats on fine work and thanks for entertaining us! Especially loved Bill & Calvo: Behind the Spoken Words. Ah, revenge is sweet.

Henry, thank you very much for the awesome publicity of the newsletter. Berni, Daniel, Ali, Nicole, Christine, Andreas, Joaquín, Gilma & Karen, thank you very much for your kind words. I'll do my best to find the time to provide you with more "misadventures". Sisiutl: muchas gracias y dile a tu mujer que no dude en enviarme ideas (seguro que no le faltan ) Thomas, taxes and software piracy are excellent topics I hadn't think about. I suppose that Mox is so honest (and naïf) that he'll be shocked when he'll discover them. Jorge, Dilbert is my favorite comic strip. I feel flattered Katarina, I won't complain about publicity , thank you Francisco, I couldn't agree more. There are some real situations in our work that are so absurd that no one would find them funny. ▲ Collapse

Your cartoons had me chuckling on a rainy day when there wasn't much to laugh about. Thank you -- and keep up the brilliant work!

really great. Thanks. Especially, I like the part with the screen and defenestration!!!. I think my daughter would do the same with me and my PC at a certain point of time when I drive her too late to a guitar or piano class at her music school AGAIN
After a long time, I laughed at me!

Way to go! Look forward to seeing more!
Alejandro, I really enjoyed it - and I recognize myself in some (not all, mind you) of the "Calvo" statements (I also have a beard, but am not bald yet ), as well as many of the situations you depict. That is real life! (and therefore also so funny). Keep on the good work... We all need that kind of smile from time to time. Bests, Ramon

You know... that "form nightmare" can't be closer to the truth. I mean, wth is wrong with people and translation agencies. I've never asked so many questions even by my girlfriend when I got home drunk and without a shoe Give poor freelancers a break :0

Oh, I'm glad to learn that my work will kill me before my visual acuity decreases! And Behind the Spoken Words - I certainly will post it to my interpreting teacher.

Alejandro Moreno-Ramos wrote: Dear colleagues, I would like to share with you my new comic strip. It tells the misadventures of a young translator called Mox. Two PhDs, six languages... and he hardly earns the minimum wage. Almost all "adventures" are based on mistakes I made over the last decade. The result is a strip full of clichés. However, I hope you will enjoy it. You may find the strip at: http://mox.ingenierotraductor.com Constructive criticism is welcome! [Subject edited by staff or moderator 2009-05-01 13:06 GMT] Great Job Alejandro. How much of that material comes from real experiences? Kudoz!
