EVER WONDER ... Why the sun lightens our hair, but darkens our skin? Why can't women put on mascara with their mouth closed? Why don't you ever see the headline 'Psychic Wins Lottery'? Why is 'abbreviated' such a long word? Why is it that doctors call what they do 'practice'? Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavor, and dish washing liquid made with real lemons? Why is the man who invests all your money called a broker? Why is the time... See more EVER WONDER ... Why the sun lightens our hair, but darkens our skin? Why didn't Noah swat those two mosquitoes? Why do they sterilize the needle for lethal injections? You know that indestructible black box that is used on airplanes? Why don't they make the whole plane out of that stuff?! Why don't sheep shrink when it rains? Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together? Thanks, I needed that! After ten days of working non-stop from early morning till late night, I crashed last night and went to bed early. When I got up this morning I felt much better, got an extension of one of my deadlines and started working again with a clear head. Then I saw your post and laughed Especially the mouse-flavoured cat food made me wonder... Have a nice day! | | | Farzad Akmali Member English to Persian (Farsi) + ... SITE LOCALIZER

Well, I have no problem with putting on my mascara with my mouth closed - in fact I never do it with my mouth open, So I dismiss at least this one.

Same here, no mouth opening when applying mascara As to cat food, I read somebody had experimented with that and the cats turned their nose away. Not sure if this is true or not, but one thing that is definitely true is that cats don't buy cat food, humans do, and presumably most humans are unlikely to enjoy the smell of rodents. And, who said needles for lethal injections get sterilized? | | | Erik Freitag Germany Local time: 19:59 Member (2006) Dutch to German + ...
Nadejda Vega Cespedes wrote: cats don't buy cat food, humans do, and presumably most humans are unlikely to enjoy the smell of rodents. Well, I'm not quite sure what rodents smell like, but one thing I know for sure: Cat food is NOT made to please the human sense of smell... I doubt that giving it a smell of rodent would be a change for the worse | | | Heinrich Pesch Finland Local time: 20:59 Member (2003) Finnish to German + ... Terminal indeed | Jan 29, 2009 |
I believe normal cats don't even know what a mouse smells like. Cats like fish most, as long as its fresh. Thanks for these disturbing riddles! Regards Heinrich | | | Speranza Local time: 19:59 Spanish to Russian + ... Come on efreitag, | Jan 29, 2009 |
of course cat food is made to please humans. Do you think it comes in nifty glossy packaging and is sometimes fish-shaped because cats prefer it that way?

Yes, from a visual point of view of course, but I was talking about its smell! When I had a cat (some 15 years ago now), cat food used to stink horrible! But maybe that has changed today... | | | Lise Leavitt United States Local time: 13:59 Member (2008) Danish to English + ... TOPIC STARTER Glad you enjoyed | Jan 29, 2009 |
My father in law sent me these. I thought some of them were genious, as for others just funny. Must admit I not only have my mouth open, I literally become a carnivorous bug-eating plant lol Are you perhaps one of those, who while they use the scissors, imitate the cutting with their mouth? As for cat food, I noticed lately that it started smelling like vitamin B, does that mean we'll have healthier cats with a nicer breath? Have a nice day....and take some time off in between ...
