Detailed Assessment (of costs)Where costs are dealt with by the drawing of a bill of costs

DeterminationAct of scrutinising a bill of costs in criminal proceedings to see if the work done and amount claimed is reasonable

DisabilityThe inability of a person to handle their own affairs (eg through mental illness or a minor under 18 years of age) which prevents involvement in civil
