general meeting Explanation: First of all, I would call "трудовий колектив" - "employee association", following this definition: "(Business / Industrial Relations & HR Terms) an organization, other than a trade union, whose members comprise employees of a single employing organization. The aims of the association may be social, recreational, or professional" Then "general meeting" seems like an obvious equivalent for "загальні збори" -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 50 mins (2013-08-23 12:13:17 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I apologize, now I see that I haven't quite answered the question about "конференція", focusing too much on my thought about the workforce.
