Turkish term or phrase: "lasting of juveniles"
I'm editing a document that has been VERY badly translated from Turkish. I don't have the Turkish document and I don't understand Turkish anyway.

I have the following paragraph. Could anyone possibly tell me what the translator meant by "lasting of juveniles" in the last line?

Dwarf juniper is a monoecious, creeping plant reaching 100 cm tall, growing 10 m in horizontal direction. Although it is less prevalent in our southern regions, all around our country, it is spread within 1000 meter and 2800 meter in high mountains, in or above the timberlines and treelines. It is an important taxon that can endure very low temperatures, adapted itself to short growing period. It plays an important role on lasting of juveniles of other forest species that constitute high mountain forests.
