ROOM-DIVIDING BENCH Explanation: I can't really come up with a great translation, but a 'överstigningsbänk' is usually a bench put in a locker room to divide the dressing area and the area where you take of your shoes. When you enter a locker room in Sweden (at least an older one) you have an area with a special floor where the shoes and jackets should be taken off. The bench is there so you can sit on it to take off your shoes, but also to act as a marker that no shoes are allowed after stepping over it.
