Hello

Is this word a typo and for what?

Fagersta hade först av de svenska investerat på hårdmetall men föll för stålchefernas ***projektiver*** och byggde ut sin splittrade struktur med 40 procent.

It actually seems to be German for "projective limits"

But then I'm not sure what the segment could mean

"Fagersta had been the first Swedes to invest in hard metal but were enticed by the steel bosses projective limits, and so expanded their divided structure by 40%"

That barely makes sense to me

Thanks for any help

Enthusiasm for the project
Explanation:
Iver = enthusiasm or eagerness, pretty sure it's not a typo. Fagersta got caught up in their enthusiasm.

agree  Anders Ericsson: seems likely, a bad compound, read it as "projekt-iver".
