recipient Explanation: Not being a speaker of Swedish, I am simlply basing my suggestion on your own analysis of the meaning. In a testing or laboratory situation, 'recipient' is the sort of word often used in a fairly formal, technical register to mean 'some unspecified kind of container' (which might be of any size, material, shape, etc.) Depending on the specific context, you might or might not be able to add 'test' or 'sample', for example, but I think the term is more often used on its own, simply qualified by the surrounding text: "The sample is placed in a suitable recipient and heated to 300°C" etc. etc. |

tubes and sampling material Explanation: I suspect "provmaterial" is a short form of "provtagningsmaterial", and my proffered translation is based on ths assumption. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2009-12-20 23:10:40 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Please see: http://ki.se/ki/jsp/polopoly.jsp;jsessionid=ahl-WlN6zyihsuNv... and http://ki.se/ki/jsp/polopoly.jsp?d=29392&a=80287&l=sv |
