Swedish term or phrase: Vitessats
Hello

Still on the document which I cannot show excerpts of (sorry)

I have a heading "Vitessats, Beräkningsgrunder" and what follows is basically a formula for calculating penalties for Wind Turbines that are delivered (handed over) late.

So I understand the concept of "Vitessats" which is like a "kit" (sats) for calculating such penalties

But this word is rare in Swedish and I nothing comes to mind in English

"Formula" might have worked but this word appears in Swedish a bit later (formeln) so I'm not sure if I can use it for "vitessats"

Any ideas please?

Thanks

Explanation:
Your text appears to be based on a standard contract for delivery and installation of major machinery etc. If you look here http://inkop-112.atspace.com/html/aba99.html in para 16.2 you will find vitessats used a couple of times, in a way that should make the meaning clearer.

And I don't think the "sats" here has the meaning "kit". It is more like measure or amount. Used in cake and bread making recipes, you can make "hel sats" using the recipe as its stands or "halv sats" - halving the amounts all round.

SAOB and SAOL and SO have other examples of similar use of "sats" as yours - you could look here: https://svenska.se/tre/?sok=sats&pz=1 - SAOL item 6; SAOB item 7

You could also say "penalty rate" analogously with "interest rate" for "räntesats".

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks for this input. I would have thought they'd say "vitesnivåer" for penalty levels though. But I'll probably go with this as you are Swedish and have a better understanding of course of what is meant than me.

agree  Michael Ellis: Agree Agneta's explanation, but here I would translate it simply as 'Penalties'.
