My understanding of the term is that it means more than explaining the vision and its consequences to the employees - it's a process of actually rooting (i.e. anchoring) it in their consciousness so that they truly believe it. So I just don't see this being an "alignment process". It's easy to poke fun at this kind of spin language, but it's not always just froth!

I'm going for the alignment process. But I'll probably change it from goal alignment process to strategic alignment process -- I think this sounds like impressive enough spin talk :) and I think it conveys the meaning that the author is trying to get across.

If you favour "spin in - spin out" then you should go with "anchoring process"; if you favour "spin in - plain language out" then you should go with "indoctrination process".

"Support process" would be a grave mistranslation.

So far I am for the translation "support process" which is the solution I have come up with tentatively. Or possibly consensus process, although it does sound a bit strange even if fitting. I found the explanations regarding indoctrination process etc hilarious. Perhaps spin-talk is what förankringsprocess is. But we are translators after all so if they want to spin in one language we must translate it into spin-talk.

It is more to do with gaining acceptance for a decision before it is pushed through.
