direct pension Explanation: Why not simply call it a “direct pension;” that is what it is. Or a “directly arranged pension. Quite simple (see definition below). It means no third parties are involved in the programme. Direktpension. En direktpension är ett avtal mellan ditt företag och en anställd, och är ett löfte om pension som betalas direkt från företaget till den anställde. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 5 hrs (2014-06-17 18:05:53 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- And who would know what a "top hat" is? It was also a "polite" way of dismissing someone; simply put some pound notes into a top hat - they guy immediately got the message. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 5 hrs (2014-06-17 18:08:53 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- actually direct retirement plan would be a better term to use. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 5 hrs (2014-06-17 18:16:52 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Additional reference: http://euracs.eu/summaries/summary-germany/ It's called a Direktzusage in German; a "Direct Pension Commitment" |
