remission/reference Explanation: Hi Cynthia, I'm translating the same document into Spanish and I was about to post the same question! But hten I did some research and decided to use "remisión" and "referencia" in Spanish. I was hesitating about the meaning of "remission" in English, but then I found this: http://www.proz.com/kudoz/spanish_to_english/business_commer... Hope it helps! -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2010-11-24 20:51:30 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Yes, alpia, I was unsure if the English word shares the meaning of "remission" and I looked it up. Although Merriam Webster says it doesn't, I found the afore-mentioned link in which our colleague says: "This is confirmed by most decent dictionaries, including the Oxford Business Spanish Dictionary (2002) for \"remisión\": \"remission; (referencia) cross-reference\" Although, I admit it might not be the best solution in English |
