(Cabezal de posicionamiento automatico) Consta de dos articulaciones que llamaremos vertical y diagonal porque una de ellas, la vertical, gira en un plano vertical perpendicular al eje carnero; y la otra, la diagonal, en un plano a 45º del anterior.
Ambas articulaciones del cabezal tienen un sistema hidráulico que permite el desbloqueo de las mismas.
Cuando una de las articulaciones está desbloqueada, el giro del motor principal se transmite a la articulación. Cuando ambas articulaciones se encuentran bloqueadas, el giro del motor principal se transmite a la herramienta.
