Si bien es cierto que desde el siglo XVIII la mentalidad utilitarista de la dinastía de los Borbones propició el desarrollo de una política más moderna, la Iglesia española no perdió esa preeminencia que venía disfrutando desde el Medievo.

Mi traducción:
Sebbene sia vero che dal XVIII secolo la mentalità utilitarista della dinastia dei Borboni intavolò lo sviluppo di una politica più moderna, la Chiesa spagnola non perse il privilegio che ??? dal Medioevo.
