Il termine più usato è questo: ma siamo in Italia, e ci sono dunque mille varianti regionali.
A Ferrara dicono caucciù, a Modena Chicles, in Abruzzo Ciccigomma, in altre regioni ho sentito dire Cingomma...insomma ognumo ha il suo metodo.

ma non sono d'accordo con chewing gum: non lo dice quasi nessuno, e se lo dice, rigorosamente pronunciando la U come U, all'italiana!
