Verbrenner, Brenneisen) ist ein chirurgisches Instrument zum Kauterisieren, das heute als Elektrokauter in Form einer feinen, durch elektrischen Strom erhitzten Drahtschlinge zum Einsatz kommt. Im Wesentlichen dient der Kauter während einer Operation zur Blutstillung oder zum Schneiden. Die entsprechende Operationstechnik ist die Elektrokaustik. |
