boarding and exiting procedures Explanation: As I understand it, your text refers to all the procedures for putting things on trains and taking them off (cargo, passengers, etc), but not transporting them. Although 'disembark' appears to be correct for 'desembarcar', I would use 'boarding and exiting procedures'. Embark: Go on board a ship or aircraft: http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/embark Disembark: Leave a ship, aircraft, or train: http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/disemba... If you need help boarding or leaving the train, please contact our welcoming station or train staff who will be happy to help. http://www.travelsouthyorkshire.com/accessibletrainguide/ If a type 8 vehicle is not available in the train set that you wish to board, you can board the high-floor green line train using a mobile lift or mini-high platform. This page will discuss the boarding procedures for both low-floor and high-floor trains. As you're boarding, the Motorperson will ask for your destination. Let him/her know where you plan to exit the train so that they can assist you in exiting at your destination. http://www.mbta.com/riding_the_t/accessible_services/default... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 8 hrs (2014-04-17 14:09:59 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Here's an example from Australia for 'boarding and disembarking': Passengers travelling in a wheelchair can board or disembark Tilt Train services via a fold out ramp, which is kept onboard. Please note that unfortunately wheelchair access is currently not available on other Traveltrain services. http://www.queenslandrailtravel.com.au/Planyourtrip/Accessib... |
