Spanish term or phrase: radiación (contexto de levantamiento topográfico)
I'm translating a Mexican university's architect course description on Topography.

Under the section "Planimetría" there is a subsection on Levantamientos con cinta (surveying with tape). The three subitems are:
- diagonales
- radiaciones
- lado de liga (asked in a separate question)

I see some results for "radiation survey" in Google in a topographical/survey context, but most of the hits relate to radiation as in radioactive. So I am not sure if there is a more accurate way to describe this in English.

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated!
