Spanish term or phrase: lámina pulida
"Análisis microtextural de sedimentos y de rocas sobre fragmentos, probeta o lámina pulida"

I have no idea what this could mean, so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

English translation:polished section
Explanation:
There are two ways of studying a rock specien under the microscope:

Polished section. A face of the rock is polished, and the laminated (3 mm) to observe the relationshiops of the minerals, or the presence of native elements (copper, gold, silver). In sedimentary rocks, useful to study grain size or microfossil content, matrix and cement. Lighyt van not pass through the section

Thin section. Part of the rock is reduced and laminated until a very thin section (<0.03 mm) is obtained. Then polished and mounted between glasses as a microscope slide. Is used to determine minerals in a rock. Light can go through the sample to be studied under a petrographic microscope

I think the text refers to polished section. If it would be about thin section, the term in Spanish would have been lámina delgada
