not sure of the correct technical term here ....fully enclosed machines perhaps? anyone know for sure? Thanks!

Explanation:
In other words, part of a functional system.

Equipment can be assembled, but not installed. An automotive engine is assembled then installed into the engine compartment, bolted to its mounts, connected to the transmission, hose, fuel lines and wiring are attached, etc.
