Reference: Cuneta Reference information: OK, so the solution is a typo (cuentas). Nevetheless, I'd like to mention the several meanings of "cuneta". It can mean a drainage ditch like those usually found on the sides of roads. However, it has several more figurative meanings, such as to leave someone in the lurch, or even to dump a dead body (dejar en la cuneta). This is why I initially found the query rather strange, assuming it was some kind of financial jargon. https://www.linguee.com/spanish-english/translation/dejar+en+la+cuneta.html |
