Spanish term or phrase: las Gracias y los Héroes
This is from a play about the composer Schumann's wife. The character is reading a letter:

lee) “Ha llegado el elegido cuya cuna parecen haber velado las Gracias y los Héroes. Su nombre es Johannes Brahms y viene de Hamburgo… Desde el instante en que se sienta ante el piano nos arrastra a regiones maravillosas, haciéndonos entrar con él en un mundo ideal. Brahms es el compositor que Alemania estaba esperando.”

The Graces and the Heroes seems sort of literal...

Maybe just the gods?

English translation:Graces and Heroes
Explanation:
The three Graces were only minor deities but held sway over beauty, creativity, fertility and the arts. I'd just translate it literally. In fact, I found what appears to be the exact same sentence in a link online:

NB: Literal translations are not always a bad thing IMHO. You just need to exercise some discretion.

Example sentence(s):

  • Robert Schumann, who himself writes about Johannes: "He came to this elect, in whose cradle the graces and heroes seem to have been watching.
