Good evening. I'm translating a commentary piece on the ongoing protests in Chile and this is what I have. Is "bajarle un cuarto de cambio" slang? Because I have never encountered that phrase before.

agree  Helena Chavarria: I haven't researched the expression but in Spanish 'cambio' can mean 'gear', so this could easily mean reduce a quarter of a gear, i.e. lower the gear = take it down a notch.
