Spanish term or phrase: Obra mixta
Hello!

I'm translating a list of projects performed by an engineering company and one of them mentioned they performed the "obra mixta". I 've found this definition in Spanish for obra mixta:

La obra Mixta implica un acuerdo entre tres partes: UTE, Cliente, Empresa Instaladora para llevar adelante obras de nuevos suministros o ampliación de potencias contratadas.

UTE is the state-owned utility.

Is there a term for "obra mixta" in English?
Thanks!

combined work
Explanation:
The explanation states that three parties are involved together in a combined piece of work or project. It may be about new supplies or increases in contractual authorisation.

A public -private partnership involves the combined work of a project administered between a government and a business.
However, referring to the question placed on kudoz which involves three groups or organisations :
"La obra mixta implica un acuerdo entre tres partes (UTE, Cliente, Empresa instaladora) para llevar adelante obras de nuevas suministros o ampliación de potencias contratadas."
"The combined work implies an agreement among three groups (UTE, Client and an installation enterprise) in order to progress with new supply work or contracted (hired) skilled labour."
Note that 'UTE' is a government owned national administration of power plants and electrical transmissions (administración nacional de usinas y transmisiones eléctricas) in Uruguay.

A (number of parties) - party engagement

Explanation:

disagree  AllegroTrans: "party engagement" is not an expression used in industry, and "sharing up" is utterly off-beam. You cannot be a native English speaker and I politely suggest that you stop representing yourself as one.

public private partnership

Explanation:
Wikipedia: A public–private partnership (PPP, 3P, or P3) is a cooperative arrangement between two or more public and private sectors, typically of a long-term nature.[1][2] In other words, it involves government(s) and business(es) that work together to complete a project and/or to provide services to the population.[3] They are an example of multistakeholder governance. Public–private partnerships have been implemented in multiple countries, are primarily used for infrastructure projects, such as the building and equipping of schools, hospitals, transport systems, and water and sewerage systems.

Notes to answerer
Asker: I think this would be the correct term if the project as a whole was an "obra mixta" but in fact it consisted of a private project, a substation, that at some point had to be connected to the national grid. There is where UTE (the utility) comes and the inevitable "obra mixta". So, in this case, I think your "public/private" and Lisa's "combined work" suits better for this is a private project that involves some work with the state-owned utility. My fault for not providing the whole context.

neutral  Giovanni Rengifo: I think you're right about the "public-private" bit here, but wouldn't you want to use "project" for "obra" instead of "partnership"?
