provision recorded for future settlement via (with) the surplus remuneration received Explanation: .... la provisión registrada *para* la liquidación futura por el exceso de retribución recibida The writer may have been wiser to avoid doubling up the overused 'por' and use 'para' for the first prepositional phrase and 'con' for the second/ por la segunda. furture settlement because of the excess remuneration received Explanation: My understanding is that the generator receives a set remuneration (or subsidy) for the energy generated, but if a taxation cost is reduced, as in this case, then the subsidy will have been overpaid and will have to be returned, hence the accounting provision. I am not sure this is what Adrian's answer is indicating, if it is, I apologise. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 7 hrs (2019-09-22 17:19:35 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- "future" of course |
