Spanish term or phrase: primera puesta
Es un catálogo de piercing y el término primera puesta se refiere a la primera vez que se pone uno un piercing despues de hacer el agujero. Existe un término así en inglés?

first insertion
Explanation:
first insertion sounds better to me because once you get pierced, you are supposed to keep wearing a decoration all the time until complete healing. then you may remove it, and that's when your "first insertion" occurs :)

Asker: It really works!! Only yesterday did I discover this web page and I think I´m already hooked!! Thank you very much for your prompt answer, I agree that the literal translation is first wearing, however I think in this particular context I am going for Nadejda´s suggestion of first insertion.

Asker: I totally agree, although piercing jewellery is worn (first wearing) was another suggestion, I think in this particular context first insertion is the most suitable. Thank you very, very much.

Asker: Thank you very much for your answer. I´m not comfortable with the term application. Your other suggestion seems better to me, but since it is a catalogue I´m translating I need to keep it short.

Asker: Thank you very much for your answer, although it is a good translation I think it is not accurate enough, bearing in mind I´m translating a catalogue, where in very few words you need to convey a description, first time usage, does not specify, if it is the first time you use that particular jewellery, or if it is indeed the first time you use any jewellery. I chose first insertion, since in this particular context seems to be the most accurate.
