astronomical day Explanation: The English is usually just a straight translation for this term (which more strictly means the period from midday to midday). Sidereal day does seem to fit the definition you gave but it is known as a "día sidéreo" in SPanish. |

apparent solar day Explanation: From Wikipedia (link below): Apparent solar time or true solar time is the hour angle of the Sun. It is based on the apparent solar day, which is the interval between two successive returns of the Sun to the local meridian.
