agree  Martin Janda: Ah, I see. Might be a remainder of a previous English texts - US manuals love to overexplain everything...

  -> ah, I wasn't uncertain about the translation... the "I guess" was in response to the strange formulation. Testosterone "levels" would tend to always be free/active to be meaningful, so the qualifiers seem unnecessary. Oh, marketing!
