What exactly does the verb podsadiť (podsadzovať) mean here? Lift? Tilt?

From some instructions on how to do Kegel exercises to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles:

Most
Ľahnite si na chrbát, ruky dajte pozdĺž tela dlaňami nahor. Nohy pokrčte v kolenách a *podsaďte* panvové dno.
1. Pomaly stavec po stavci zdvíhajte zadok a chrbát od podložky.
2. S výdychom zase pomaly stavec po stavci klesajte na podložku.
3. Opakujte 3 až 5x.

Mačka
Kľaknite si a oprite sa dlaňami o podložku. Cvik opakujte 3 až 5x.
1. Zhlboka sa nadýchnite do brucha. Zväčšujte brucho.
2. Pri výdychu *podsadzujte* panvu, sťahujte brucho a vťahujte močovú trubicu dovnútra.
3. Pomaly sa vráťte do pôvodnej polohy a opakujte.

Explanation:
"Pod" in "podsadiť" indicates "under", "moving down".

In the first instance it means that the pelvis should be pressed into or touch the floor as some people would find it natural/comfortable to keep it slightly above the ground.

In the second instance it means that the pelvis should be moving down (as the back is arching upward). In step 1 "zväčšujte brucho" means that the spine and stomach is moved in the opposite direction towards the floor (while the head and pelvis are moved up).

Explanation:
The first one says, Move your pelvis towards your legs. The other one says, move your pelvis forward (towards your head) and - this is implied - push your back up.
You might find a better wording though.

Asker: Thank you for the explanation. Yes, I would expect 'pod-' to refer to downward motion, but it was difficult to visualise - down in relation to what?
