I am sorry, but it is simply incorrect.
Futures contract (futuritný kontrakt, futuritá alebo futures in Slovak environment) is solely restricted to trading with derivates and it is a binding contract obligating its parties to sell and purchase certain underlying asset. Zmluva o budúcej zmluve is a binding contract obligating its parties to enter into a specific agreement in the future. Based on their content the documents are clearly different. Only similarity is that both documents (like any other contract or agreement) describe some action in the future.

I think there is something similar in the US law and finances however, similar to our zmluva o budúcej zmluve- which is called "futures contract"i.e. is a standardized forward contract, even if this refers to special cases of trading, I would call the 2 parties "future contractor" and "future clients"- potential is not obliged to keep the terms...

This might work for a letter of intent, which is not binding, but a zmluva o uzatvoreni buducej zmluvy IS binding and they really are the future client and contractor. English law doesn't have preliminary contracts per se (and "pre-contracts" are more for betrothals, I think), so I wouldn't have any major qualms about using "future" here instead of trying to jam civil law into common law.
