Slovak term or phrase: avans
I am translating into Polish an invoice which was written in English by a Slovak person.

It says:
Terms of Payment: 100% AVANS
Date of Loading: 01.01.2011
Due date: 01.02.2011
Seller: XYZ
Payment in: 30 days.

At first I thought it might mean "in advance", but since it says "payment in 30 days" it must be sth else, and since the text is full of typos and occassionally Slovak words as well, I've been wondering, maybe "avans" is the word in Slovak? Does it mean anything in Slovak that would make sense here?

Although I do not understand, why there is 100% advance and payment term of 30 days (as you can see, there is also period of 30 days between loading date and due date), the invoice obviously was not written by a person fluent in English (avans is not English word either).

Explanation:
Leave it like that. I don't think it's a Slovak word (I'm Czech, but the languages are very similar).
I have found evidence that avans is French and Bosnian for "advance" so "in advance" makes sense within the line, but it surely doesn't within a wider context.

So I'd leave it like that or use "in advance" if I can't contact the Slovak translator. If you can contact the Slovak translator, then that is what I would do.

agree  Nathaniel2: Maybe this is specific to Slovakia, any time I order things 'payment on delivery' my Slovak invoices say the same thing, payment on delivery, payment terms: 30 days. Maybe their invoicing program can't handle both payment types
