paid-up capital Explanation: A proportion of a company's registered capital is actually "paid-up" (i.e. deposited). So you could translate it as "They undertake to use the money/sum/amount as paid-up capital" (and not to distribute it to shareholders/invest it in R&D/etc.) . Try Googling "paid-up capital" and you will see what I mean (500,000 hits) |
