Kulturološke barijere ogledaju se u predstavama o tome koje poslove mogu ili ne mogu da obavljaju žene i muškarci, tj. u neformalnoj podeli poslova. Tokom fokus grupa i intervjua došlo se do saznanja da nije retko da žene koje imaju status uniformisane policijske službenice ili ovlašćenog službenog lica ne rade poslove koje obuhvataju primenu ovlašćenja i da češće od muškaraca rade na policijskim poslovima u kancelariji sa kojih se teže napreduje ili da ih premeštaju kao ispomoć na upravnim poslovima.
