Ono što najviše zabrinjava jeste da mnoge žene sa statusom UOSL i OSL nemaju iste prilike kao njihove kolege da obavljaju sve policijske zadatke, jer postoji neformalna podela poslova na „muške“ i „ženske” poslove (videti više o ovome u delu o opisima poslova). Pored toga, planiranim razdvajanjem policijskih od nepolicijskih poslova u sklopu reforme započete usvajanjem novog Zakona o policiji, očekuje se dodatno smanjenje učešća žena među zaposlenima sa policijskim ovlašćenjima, zato što će najverovatnije status OSL i UOSL biti oduzet većini zaposlenih u sektorima, u kojima trenutno većinu zaposlenih čine žene. Drugi razlog jeste najava izjednačavanja statusa istim radnim mestima, ma gde se u organizacionoj strukturi nalazila.
