Исследовав более 4000 снимков обнаженных студентов колледжа, он отобрал три варианта максимально отличающихся друг на друга сложения. В результате этого отбора возникли так называемые эндоморфный, мезоморфный и эктоморфный типы сложения.

"Build" is what I'd use as a native speaker. I think using "types" or "kinds" is superfluous here. The same meaning is conveyed by using build as a countable noun (i.e. different builds, one build).
