Russian term or phrase: футинг
футинг
тренировочный, укрепляющий бег, быстрая ходьба.
Оздоровительно-укрепляющая или тренировочная ходьба в быстром темпе

These definitions imply that футинг means jogging.
However, I can't find hardly any websites containing футинг in the sense of jogging.
Does (or Did) the word футинг in the sense of jogging really exist?

English translation:power walking
Explanation:
The doubt I have is related to the inclusion of "бег" the definition.

P.S. Just don't let anybody convince you to write "footing," even if somebody does use it in this sense. Too many associations with stuff in the domain of "Ах, ножки, ножки"!

agree  rns: Just can't agree more: in a foreign word dictionary футинг is glossed as "Ср. ДЖОГГИНГ." — Cf. JOGGING — http://2.ly/cbtq — and even in Russian футинг, in addition to moving on foot, is apparently associated — http://2.ly/cbtx — with http://2.ly/cbtt

-> Thanks. But if it's really used in Russian (whether via French, as Dylan suggested, or from somewhere else) to denote "jogging," then "power walking" won't do. In walking, at least one foot is always in contact with the ground, in jogging/running, not.

-> Thanks, Natalie. See my other note, on jogging as a form of running, which could rule out "power walking," if this activity subsumes jogging.

I haven't heard this word in Russian, but yandex does return some hits with this meaning (if you're below 18, don't type this word in yandex)

Notes to answerer
Asker: I guess I didn't make myself clear enough. I asked the usage of Russian футинг, not English 'footing'
