It's NOT about a FASTENER

Velcro to be used only to convey the likeness.
And there is a place for it in the NEXT sentence.
This is a "HALF Vecro" case - just micro-hooks surfaces are used.

So, I think it's beter to reveal the core technology of Velcro - that is micro hooks, since nobody suggested a professional name of the device.

Обобщенное наименование липучки, в противовес брендовому — все же hook and loop. Если только там не используется именно бренд Velcro.
