XX выполнены с шагом _следования_ не больше XX межэлектродного расстояния.

The two sentences are disparate, but I have a genuine issue with providing a good translation for the word "следование" in either instance.

Explanation:
The first sentence appears to be dealing with time between two consecutive pulses/events/actions. If so, it's REPETITION PERIOD.

The second one is certainly about a geometric increment, which is PITCH or SPACING. In fact, "выполнены с шагом следования" means simply "are spaced".
