3.5 WISE Subject Mater Expert (SME)

A WISE SME is a WISE User that has been identified as a knowledge resource for a specific product/project/service that has an extensive knowledge of the topic in an engineering, sales, business strategy, operational, maintenance/service, and/or hands-on capacity. The WISE SME will be nominated by the Business Unit Managers for the assigned topic and approved by the associated Product Line Vice President. They will be directly assigned to the topic and can be added to the query by the WISE Engineer or WISE Lead. They can provide input on the topic at that same level of detail as the WISE Engineer and should have the same level of authority granted to them as the WISE Engineer in terms of making suggestions that can be acted on at the Weatherford facility or customer location. A WISE SME will not have the authority to decide on the content of the posted solution in the “Solution” field of the query but will help the WISE Engineer come to that decision when needed.
