Asker: ИМХО, лучше on file with XYZ institutions Где-нибудь в глубинке такого больного могут поставить на диспансерный учет в местной маленькой поликлинике, которая ну совсем не тянет на center. Кроме того, таких лиц вряд ли правильно называть outpatients потому как они могут годами не ходить в клинику. Учет -- это скорее клеймо

agree  The Misha: Or simply "those registered with". Not "on file," of course. You can't have living, breathing souls "on file". This is also very country-specific. Where I live, we'd simply say "with a history of". No dispensaries. No registrations. Freedom, blin:)

neutral  The Misha: Dispensary immediately brings up an image of a shabby poor man's clinic full of "unizhennye i oskorblyonnye". I mean, if that's the intended effect, go for it, but we don't really call them that. Not even if they are indeed poor man's clinics.
