You can replace "adapted' with "tweaked" if a colloquialism is allowed, but I really don't see any reason to do it. The style of the source text is neutral to formal. I wouldn't use the term "localized", as suggested in the Discussion panel, because it implies adaptation for a particular country/region/culture/audience, etc. versus the internet concept in the narrow context you provided is wide and unspecific. |
