In romana linia curenta este linia de pe bloc, adica linia dintre 2 statii (si la noi ca si la germani, statie in tehnica feroviara nu se refera la localitatea unde opreste trenul sa ia/lase pasageri/marfa, ci la o portiune de linie unde exista cel putin 2 macazuri). In sistemul britanic se cheama "open line".
