Romanian term or phrase: utilizarea de software nelicențiat corect.
I am confused about the use of "corect" here. The context reads:

I realise that this phrase at the end of the paragraph is discussing the criminal acts associated with the use of unlicensed software, but I cannot figure out which noun "corect" is qualifying. For example, is it saying:

"correct use of unlicensed software"?

Or does it mean:

"use of unlicensed software correctly"?

Thank you.

„Properly Licensed Software Contributes Three Times More to National Economies than Pirated Software, New BSA Study Finds”

„Competitive Advantage: The Economic Impact of Properly Licensed Software”

RECTIFICARE:

PROPER, instead of PROPPER

use of incorrectly licensed software.

Explanation:
"corect" refers here to the unlicensed software.
I cannot say "use of correctly unlicensed software" - as it is a non-sense.

The idea is that a software was licensed by other means than the legal ones (cracking, hacking, etc.) and it was "made" to be/ seem genuine for the OS.

the use of incorrectly licensed software

Explanation:
In my opinion, this refers to the use of software that is not correctly licensed, i.e. either partial/invalid license or no license at all. It's meant to cover all cases that are not "correctly licensed software". It's a rather unfortunate wording in Romanian - "ne" is supposed to be a negative for "licențiat corect".

incorrectly licensed software

Explanation:

It's an unfortunate way of expressing it, but IMHO it's referring to bootleg software, not one obtained legally.
