A meia tábua ou tabeira é uma peça que integra a estrutura de cobertura, com seção transversal de 2x15cm, DESQUINADA em uma das arestas.
Como traduziriam? Não sei se a minha interpretação é certa, mas imagino que sejam aquelas tábuas decorativas que, no canto, acabam se encontrando com corte diagonal (transversal), de modo a se encaixar esteticamente. No caso aqui, 'desquinada' seria no sentido em que não foi feito este corte, e a tábua acabaria reto, sem acabamento.
