I am asking you for a link or an example of your statement since I looked it up and could not find one that justifies the use of it in the context. I guess everybody else is also curious about it. You started with a suggestion, but now in the discussion panel you insist in this statement. So it is totally fair to ask you to give us an explanation of your "answer". Maybe we can learn something you know and we don´t.

In other words, it's a retention bonus agreement. And, if the client renews the contract after the term has ended, it's a renewal bonus agreement.

The sentence might not make sense to you as an American. Just don't get fooled by the word benefits to the consumer, in form of discounts in equipment, etc... This is a Brazilian peculiarity. What it really means is a pre-determined term agreement which in the US at least does not include this blah blah blah of benefits. In the US it simply deals with the duration of the contract described in the customer (binding) agreement. However, this is the way ANATEL rules in Brazil. Please see below:
