Portuguese term or phrase: policronia dos tempos
I am assuming this is a typo and should be policromia - am I right? Any suggestions for this term gratefully received. This is the phrase:
...as mulheres ciganas que, permanentemente, no seu quotidiano, ensaiam um equilíbrio difícil entre diferentes afazeres e cuidados, num verdadeiro exercício da “policronia dos tempos” que caracteriza as comunidades ciganas.

multitasking
Explanation:
Not etymologically related to "policronia dos tempos" but this based on the context (where it talks about a difficult balance between tasks and concerns) so it's one possible suggestion.

polychronic exercise in time management

Explanation:
"Polychronic" is a term from anthropology referring to the way people use their time, and it literally does mean multitasking. You can't say "polychrony," but you might want to get fancy and say "polychronic exercise"

Polychronicity is a term that describes people who prefer to work on multiple activities at the same time. Examples of polychronic behaviors include talking on the phone while driving a car and browsing the internet while sitting in meetings. Polychronicity is in contrast to those who prefer monochronicity (doing one thing at a time). **The polychronic-monochronic concept was first developed by Edward Hall in 1959 in his anthropological studies of time use in different cultures.**
