Explanation:
Neary 100% sure this is "safado," can't imagine what else it could be. This word was previously translated here on ProZ as "dirty-minded," but it also has the other meanings I've listed above. It's used pretty broadly here in Rio.

agree  Paula Vaz-Carreiro: Could also be translated as "bastard" couldn't it?:-)//Are you sure? A bastard is a person who is held to be mean or disagreeable. Oh well, I am sure you must know better as this is a typically Brazilian term of abuse.
